The Consortium welcomes as members: professional dance
companies, resident companies, schools, arts councils,
presenting organizations,
university and educational organizations, dance professionals,
and dance advocates. The annual membership fee is $40.
This minimal amount enables the Consortium to move
forward on projects and
programs to
benefit the communities of Long Island. All members
are asked to serve on at least one committee: education,
audience development, membership,
website/information services, publicity, development
or special projects. One such project is the annual
Celebration of Dance - a
three-day festival filled with performances and master
classes.
With over 30 members from both Suffolk and Nassau Counties
and a successful Celebration of Dance held every April,
the future of the Long Island Dance Consortium looks bright.
Join us as we strive to make dance a part of everyone's
life!
