The Long Island Dance Consortium (LIDC) was founded in 1997 and is
currently facilitated by the Huntington Arts Council with funding from
the New York State Dance Force and New York State Council on the Arts.
Its goal is to keep dance alive and kicking on Long Island by increasing
awareness and attendance of dance events and related programs in Suffolk
and Nassau Counties. The Consortium promotes all forms of dance.
